Yamaha DuPont Snowmobile Slides vs stock

Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. trail tested the innovative DuPont Vespel slider versus a stock slider. These DuPont slide photos were taken at the 2012 Toronto Snowmobile Show. The 1,100 kilometer trail test was run on a 2012 Apex XTX snowmobile. The Dupont slide is labelled LEFT versus the stock slide labelled RIGHT. Both slides were run on the same Apex XTX snowmobile for 1,100 kilometers.

constructed with high quality materials chosen for their weight, strength and value. Optimized plastics are thicker where support and reinforcement are needed and tapered in non-critical areas. A 1-buckle height shin plate wraps across the shin and instep to completely guard the front of the foot. Instep panels are long enough to fit a wider range of calf and leg sizes. A tapered vinyl and foam gaiter wraps the top of the boot offering a barrier which resists dirt from entering. 4 replaceable PU molded buckles float on their bases allowing unrestricted alignment. The durable synthetic boot material resists wear, requires less breaking and retains its shape longer. A width sculpted and shaped wrapping toe box incorporates slip resistant shifter ridges. Thick sinthetic leather covers the inner side of the boot guarding it from heat and wear. The steel shank adds comfort and support. The sole is attached to the upper using a time tested welted construction. A Stain resistant Mesh lining is combined with durable synthetics providing a non-slip interior.

The Northern Stars motorcycle association present the new "Northern Stars" logo design with Yamaha Motor Canada.

Patricia and Scott Norris of the Northern Stars unveiled the new "Northern Stars" logo June 21, 2012 at the Yamaha Motor Canada head office with Kelly's Cycle Centre. The logo designed together with Yamaha Motor Canada signifies the creation of a separate Yamaha Star Riders club for Canadian Riders called the Northern Stars.

Pat and Scott bought matching 2012 Stratoliner Deluxe touring motorcycles from Kelly's Cycle Centre. They then set about customizing their bikes to fit their own personal riding styles by adding many accessories and a custom paint treatment. The result is a beautiful pair of touring motorcycles fit for a Northern Star. If you ride a Yamaha Star, V-Star, Drag Star, Road Star, Wild Star, Royal Star, Venture, Roadliner, Stratoliner you should consider joining the Northern Stars.

Friday the 13th

Each Friday the 13th thousands of motorcycles rumble through the streets of Port Dover, Ontario. Mainly cruisers, lots of custom bikes, HD, Japanese, they are all there. Many stop by Kelly's for gloves, a new helmet, rain gear or parts.
