Yamaha has made a kit available which includes all parts for owners of 2017 and 2018 SideWinder models wishing to upgrade to 2019 SideWinder clutch specifications at a very reasonable cost.  This kit does not apply to M-TX models.

The 49.2" Polaris DuPont™ Slide is now available and offers noticeable performance improvements in top speed and fuel economy through friction reduction in limited snow conditions. DuPont Slides have also proven the ability to dramatically increase wear resistance over normal UHMW products.

Yamaha Motor Presidents visit Kelly's Cycle Centre

It was a big day at Kelly's Cycle Centre in early June. We had the privilege of hosting some very special guests, a triumverate of  Yamaha Motor presidents.  Mr. Yanagi and Mr Okawa wanted to visit a Yamaha Five Star dealership and with Mr. Hastings discuss what customers want.  We talked about many things including bigger dual purpose motorcycles, for example 460cc and 660cc bikes as well as 3-wheel touring motorcycles a la Can Am Spyder style.  We appreciate the many opportunities to have direct contact with Yamaha Motor Japan.  We thank the responsive Yamaha staff in Canada the USA and Japan which help us provide great customer service, yamaha genuine parts and top notch motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles.

Yes, Yamaha Dual Tuner Skis are a regularly stocked accessory.  Each ski features 2 keels for 2 runners slightly angled to help with snow evacuation. Customize your ride by choosing runners with carbides ranging from  0, 2", 4" or 6".   Long carbides eg:  6" provide more control to cut through deep snow.   Short carbides provide great handling in suitable snow conditions.

Yamaha Dual Tuner Skis provide excellent darting, predictable handling, minimal and controllable ski lift.  Light steering effort, great straight-line stability and outstanding bump course handling.

Yamaha DuPont Snowmobile Slides vs stock

Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. trail tested the innovative DuPont Vespel slider versus a stock slider.  These DuPont slide photos were taken at the 2012 Toronto Snowmobile Show.  The 1,100 kilometer trail test was run on a 2012 Apex XTX snowmobile. The Dupont slide is labelled LEFT versus the stock slide labelled RIGHT.  Both slides were run on the same Apex XTX snowmobile for 1,100 kilometers.
